Kitchen and bathroom remodeling, including after damage

Kitchen and bathroom remodeling, including after-damage remodeling when a leak or fire took the old room out.

When a leak or a fire takes the room out

Kitchens and bathrooms are the rooms where houses most often get hurt. They hold the supply lines, the drains, the dishwasher hose, the water heater closet next door and the stove. A supply line lets go behind a vanity, a slow leak under a sink soaks the cabinet floor, or a mattress fire in a back bedroom sends smoke through every room including the kitchen. By the time the water is stopped or the flames are out, the cabinets are swollen, the flooring is lifting and the tile has loosened from a wet substrate.

Our customers know this scene. Bella N. wrote in a Google review about a flooded bathroom clean up, and Susan T. about a pipe that burst in her bathroom, with the leak repaired and the water dried up. Any job like that has a second chapter: once the room is dry and the damaged material is out, someone has to put a working kitchen or bathroom back. For many people that second chapter is harder than the emergency itself, because now there are decisions to make.

That is the reason this service exists next to our water, fire and mold work. We list it as Kitchen & Bathroom Remodeling, including after-damage remodeling, and the second part matters. When the room has already been opened up by the loss, it is often the right moment to fix what you never liked about it, instead of rebuilding the same layout you were going to replace anyway.

Rebuilding on dry framing, from the plumbing out

A remodel after damage starts with what is behind the finish. Before any new cabinet or tile goes in, the framing and subfloor have to be dry, clean and sound, and anything that held water or soot has to be dealt with at the source. We would rather take another look at a questionable section than set a new vanity on top of a problem. If mold turns up when the wall is opened, the mold work comes first, and the remodel follows once that is finished.

From there the sequence is the one every good kitchen or bathroom follows. Plumbing and electrical rough-in come while the walls are open and easy to reach. New drywall goes up and is taped, textured and primed. Waterproofing behind a shower or tub surround is done before tile, not after, since a bathroom that has already flooded once has made that point for itself. Then come flooring, cabinets, counters, tile, fixtures and the last coats of paint.

Because the same company handles the drying and the drywall, there is no gap where one trade waits on another to figure out whose job a wall is. Layout, fixtures and finishes are talked through with you before demolition, so you are choosing from a plan and not reacting to surprises. Customers across Los Angeles County and Orange County, from Glendale and Pasadena to Anaheim and Huntington Beach, call us at (866) 731-0013 to start that conversation.

Financing, flooring and the rest of the rebuild

A damaged kitchen or bathroom rarely comes alone. Floors that ran through the rooms around it often need replacing too, so flooring construction is part of what we do, and our site also lists outdoor and backyard construction for the damage that happens outside the walls. The idea is the same across all of it: one company that understands what caused the damage, and that can finish the rebuild instead of handing you a list of other contractors to call.

Remodeling costs real money, and a loss usually lands at the worst time. Financing is available, and the quote is free. We look at the room, talk about what you want it to be, and put the scope in front of you. If an insurance claim is involved, our crews have worked alongside homeowners and insurance companies on water and fire losses, and Bella N. noted that Brad “walked me through the entire insurance process.”

We back the work with a simple guarantee: if you are not satisfied with the work we have done, we will make it right. If a leak, a fire or just an old, tired room has you thinking about a rebuild, call (866) 731-0013 or send the details through the contact form. We work out of Encino and serve homes across Los Angeles County and Orange County.

The crew that dried the room can rebuild it. Financing is available, and the quote is free at (866) 731-0013.
